Predictably, Prince’s album sales are soaring following his death. But this is a little crazy…

Prince famously hated streaming services, like Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud and other services, and he pulled all his music from all these streaming services, apart from Jay Z’s Tidal. Accordingly, finding platforms that played his catalog proved slightly difficult for music fans.
Prince fans flocked to platforms that did have his music available, which could be the exact reason why sales increased so significantly on certain platforms.
